ABOUT THE ARTIST

My love for painting and music appeared almost as soon as I did. At the age of six, my Mother enrolled me in both a music school and an art studio. The teachers immediately noticed my abilities and said we had to choose piano or painting. We chose music. For the next eight years I devoted myself to the piano, studying at a local professional school and living inside sound and rhythm.

Then adult life arrived – a life that seemed very far from the world of art. I earned a degree in economics and computer science and spent many years working in finance and accounting. Numbers, systems, reports – everything was precise and structured. And yet, all this time, my fascination with art never left me. It lived quietly somewhere inside, waiting.

In 2018 my path as an artist truly began. At first it was a kind of art therapy, a way to feel alive and joyful again, to dive beneath the surface of everyday routines. I started with fluid art – flowing pigments, intuitive movement, colour that seemed to paint itself. It is important to say that throughout these years it was not easy to combine a demanding financial career with the need to create. Time for painting had to be literally carved out of the day.

It was during this period that I found the phrase that became my guiding star, my personal logo: “In a reckless attempt to find balance between the material and spiritual worlds…”

Year by year I realized that I could no longer live without art. What began as a quiet experiment turned into a true passion. Painting is now an essential part of my life – it nourishes my soul, makes me feel alive, joyful, and genuinely happy.

All these years, I have continued to balance two almost incompatible professions. It is very difficult, yet the creative call of the soul cannot be silenced. It keeps breaking through, louder and more insistent every year – perhaps because it is real, living, and sincere.

Listen to your soul; it already knows the way.

I never had the opportunity to pursue a formal art degree. I am self-taught, and much of my work is guided by intuition. However, I spent countless hours learning on the move, exploring the vast world of online resources. I am deeply grateful to the professional artists who generously share their hard-won knowledge; they know that the one who truly seeks will find, the one who has ears will hear, and the one who has eyes will see. This is how I immersed myself in fluid acrylic techniques – and not only that. Over time I began to combine different approaches and embrace mixed media, weaving together acrylic, ink, pastel and rich textures. The core idea has always been the same: not to limit myself to a single “pure” technique, but to freely blend materials, surfaces and methods in order to deepen the atmosphere and enhance the emotional resonance of each piece.

MY STYLE

Now, let me tell you a little bit about my own landscape and seascape style and what I wish to express through it…

My work is rooted in atmosphere. I explore the tension between darkness and light, using shimmering glows and deep spaces to create scenes that feel less like landscapes and more like emotional states. Every mark is intentional – not random splashes of paint, but a careful dialogue with space, silence, and mood.

I am drawn to subtle, layered colour. Turquoise, soft greys, and earthy ochres melt into one another in gentle tonal shifts, building depth without heaviness or “mud.” Texture plays a central role: I shape the surface so that it suggests water, mist, stone, or organic forms, always in service of the image rather than decoration for its own sake.

The result is a semi-abstract world of quiet yet powerful energy – luminous horizons emerging from darkness, fleeting forms appearing and dissolving, the sense that the painting is breathing. My strength lies not in loud expression, but in a slow, deep light and the feeling of another dimension opening up. This is a personal, gallery-oriented practice: intimate, atmospheric works that invite viewers to step into their own inner landscapes.

Alongside my paintings, I also create intimate contemporary abstract works in mixed media, layering epoxy resin, pigments, stones, and metallic accents into richly textured circular forms. Each small piece glows like a modern talisman, balancing refined minimalism with jewel-like depth and sculptural relief. It invites quiet contemplation, drawing the viewer into a hypnotic centre where light, texture, and symbolism gently converge.
